Coverage of Oregon Beer Tax Proposal February 23, 2009 Joseph Bishop-Henchman Joseph Bishop-Henchman We’re getting quite a few hits lately about our coverage of an Oregon legislator’s proposal to hike his state’s beer tax by 1,800% and make it by far the highest in the country. (And a similar proposal in Idaho.) Our beer tax map has had some 4,000 hits in the past few days. Karen Datko of MSN Money linked back to us and predicts that the tax is going nowhere.
