Louisiana Tax Reform: Sizing up the Jindal Plan January 18, 2013 Richard Morrison Richard Morrison There's been a whirlwind of coverage around Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal's tax reform plan since it was first released late last week. Economist Scott Drenkard was first out of the gate, commenting on the proposal with a post titled "Governor Jindal's Bold New Tax Plan," in which he pointed out that adopting the reforms would catapult the state's ranking in our State Business Tax Climate Index from 32nd to 4th in the nation overall, the most dramatic one-year increase in the report's history. We also jumped into the news coverage, scoring mentions in the Times-Picayune in New Orleans, the Shreveport Times, and Bayou Buzz.
