The upcoming 116th Congress will consider a multitude of tax policy questions. Modifications to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, infrastructure, and retirement account changes are expected to dominate the agenda.
Additionally, the next Congress will need to confront the ever-increasing federal deficit and begin the conversation about making parts of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act permanent, as the first of many provisions expires in 2019.
To offer insight at this critical time, we’ve teamed up with H&R Block to host an exclusive lunch discussion on Friday, November 30th.
Kyle Pomerleau, Tax Foundation Economist and Director of the Center for Quantitative Analysis, will moderate the panel, which will include:
- Kathy Pickering, Executive Director of The Tax Institute at H&R Block
- Richard Rubin, Tax Policy Reporter at The Wall Street Journal
- Nicole Kaeding, Tax Foundation Director of Federal Projects
