North Carolina Governor Invites Suggestions on Balancing Budget

North Carolina Gov. Bev Perdue (D) has launched a “Balance the Budget Challenge” as part of her website. Perdue explains that current proposed spending exceeds expected revenues by $2.4 billion, and invites visitors to design a proposal from a menu of options in education, social services, public safety, general government, economic development, and taxes.
