Nate Scherer

Senior Education and Outreach Associate

Nate Scherer is a Senior Education and Outreach Associate with the Tax Foundation where he assists with materials and outreach for the organization’s educational platform, TaxEDU.

He was previously the Director of Finance Policy at the American Consumer Institute where he oversaw issues concerning banking, finance, and insurance. In a prior role, Nate served as an educator for Fairfax County Public Schools and as Policy Analyst at the Reason Foundation. He holds a Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Education, Social Studies from Concordia University, Portland and Bachelor of Arts in Politics from George Fox University.

In his free time, he enjoys all things music, hiking and running, and exploring the DMV. He currently resides in Arlington, VA.
