As Head of Strategic Communications Initiatives, Colby provides cross-functional support to senior leadership across marketing, communications, and education; oversees internal communications on key operations and HR changes, professional development initiatives, and the strategic plan; and develops data-driven strategies for measuring and growing Tax Foundation’s digital audiences.
Colby first joined the Tax Foundation in 2013 as a Communications intern before completing his BA in English literature at Endicott College. He rejoined the Tax Foundation at the beginning of 2015 after freelancing as a graphic designer and marketing consultant. Colby served as Tax Foundation’s Vice President of Marketing and Communications between 2019 and 2025, before assuming his current role as Head of Strategic Communications Initiatives.
Colby grew up in Sharon, Connecticut, and now lives in Washington, DC. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, music, and spending time with his family.
