About the Role

The Tax Foundation seeks a Marketing Assistant to join our Marketing and Communications team and assist with outreach to policymakers, journalists, and taxpayers across the United States and Europe.

Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing campaign performance, producing marketing materials, posting content, and translating our tax policy research and analysis into compelling copy for ads, emails, social media, and our website. This entry-level position is ideal for someone passionate about digital marketing, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to the Tax Foundation’s mission of leading the tax reform debate toward smarter, simpler policies.

The Marketing Assistant will report to our Marketing Director. This position is based in Washington, D.C. but a remote working arrangement may be considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the marketing team’s implementation and monitoring of marketing campaigns
  • Write and edit content for ads, emails, social media, and our website
  • Provide administrative and project support for a variety of marketing products and programs
  • Assist with the production of digital marketing materials, including social media and website graphics
  • Evaluate data and create reports on key metrics to monitor campaign efficiency and analyze trends

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field preferred
  • 0+ years of experience required for this position; experience, training, or internships in marketing is preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of relevant marketing tools, such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Adobe Illustrator, is a plus
