Liz is an Economist with the Center for State Tax Policy at the Tax Foundation. Liz manages the Tax Foundation's Annual State-Local Tax Burden Rankings project, in addition to the state chart book program (most recently Illinois Illustrated: A Visual Guide to Taxes and the Economy). Before joining the state policy team, Liz did state and local tax and budget research for the Wyoming Taxpayers Association in Cheyenne, WY. She was born and raised in Wyoming and earned a B.S. in Economics and B.A. in History at the University of Wyoming. Liz also holds an M.A. in Economics from Duke University. In her free time, she enjoys running, yoga, serving on the Board of the Wyoming State Society, and hanging out with her cat, Max.
