Celebrating 75 Years of Facts & Figures

March 01, 2016

Today we released the 2016 edition of Facts & Figures, our pocket- and purse-sized booklet on quick tax facts. This publication has a long history—it dates back to 1941, when our think tank (which was just four years old at the time) published a booklet that was both a source of otherwise hard-to-find government data, and also a treasure trove of infographics to illuminate that information.

We have an original copy of the 1941 edition in our office, and I’ve uploaded some images below you might not have seen before from that edition. They are both fun to look at, and fun to compare to today’s data!

If you liked this trip down memory lane, I hope you’ll consider marking this occasion with a donation to the Tax Foundation. No other research group in the country has as long-standing a reputation of advancing sound tax policy at the federal and state levels.
