We’re Looking for Interns
December 18, 2007
We’re looking for bright, motivated college students to fill open spring and summer internships. More information on the Tax Foundation internship program and application is here. Spread the word to friends and family who might be interested!
Economics & Public Policy interns work with our team of economists on issues at the federal and state levels, with emphasis on data analysis. Economics interns should be comfortable with mathematics and statistics, and computer coding skills are a plus. The Tax Foundation accepts 2-3 Economics & Public Policy interns each summer, and 1-2 during the remainder of the year on an ongoing basis.
Development interns support our fundraising activities, including communicating with current and potential donors, and maintaining records and databases. Supervised by our Director of Development, interns will be exposed to both direct marketing and high-dollar donor fundraising techniques. The Tax Foundation accepts 1-2 Development interns on an ongoing basis.
State Relations interns work hands-on with our network of state legislatures, policy groups, and other contacts. Supervised by our Manager of State Relations, interns contribute to our efforts to distribute our research and speak on current tax topics. The Tax Foundation accepts 1-2 State Relations interns on an ongoing basis.
Media Relations interns assist in disseminating our research efforts to narrow and broad audiences alike. Supervised by our Manager of Media Relations, interns can draft and revise press releases, assist in arranging media interviews and answering request for information, and substantively contribute to our podcast and video efforts. The Tax Foundation accepts 1-2 Media Relations interns on an ongoing basis.
