Video: Film Tax Credits Are Bad Tax Policy

As Joe Kristan reports on the Tax Update Blog, Democrats in the Iowa legislature have proposed a bill to curb some of the state’s tax credits, including the “scandal-ridden” film credit. We at the Tax Foundation have blogged a lot about the Iowa scandal and film tax credits in general, and we’ve also released a special report on movie production incentives. Now, we’ve put together this short video explaining why film tax credits are bad tax policy: They fail to spur economic growth or raise tax revenue.
