Aaron Merchak is a rising senior at the University of Maryland, College Park. He is double majoring in Economics and Mathematics and is planning on beginning a PhD program in economics after he graduates. Aaron has won several awards in his college career including the Economic Junior Scholar award and Ida Mae Garrott Memorial scholarship. His interests include development and labor economics, as well as statistical analysis. As a member of the Economic Honors Program at the University of Maryland, he is currently writing an honors thesis on the effect that the minimum wage has on teen pregnancy in the United States.
