Reason, Cleveland, and Taxes

March 18, 2010 has produced a series of videos to provide helpful advice to Cleveland on how it can bring life back to the once-great city. In episode 4, embedded below, narrator Nick Gillespie cites our State-Local Tax Burdens report to note that Ohio residents once paid a relatively low amount in state-local taxes; 45th highest in 1977, rising to 7th highest in 2008.

Be sure to check out their other videos in this six-part series.

More on Ohio here. The lessons could easily apply to other high-tax states, however.
