November 7, 2006

We’ve posted a new 18-minute interview with Douglas Shackelford, Meade H. Willis Distinguished Professor of Taxation and Director of the University of North Carolina Tax Center, and Research Associate in Public Economics at the National Bureau of Economic Research, as today’s Tax Policy Podcast.

Shackelford discusses several issues in the taxation of capital gains and corporate income, including the effect of cuts in capital gains and dividend taxes on the stock market, double taxation, the conformity of book accounting and tax accounting, and the future of the corporate income tax in an economy increasingly comprised of intangible goods.
