New Podcast: Buckeye President Matt Mayer Discusses “State of the State” March 3, 2010 Natasha Altamirano Natasha Altamirano As Rob previously noted, our friends at the Buckeye Institute for Public Policy Solutions in Ohio recently released a report titled “State of the State: Two Decades of Weak Job Growth and Skyrocketing Government Costs Pose Daunting Challenges for Ohioans.” In this week’s Tax Policy Podcast, Buckeye President Matt Mayer returns as a guest to discuss the 111-page report, which includes detailed economic profiles of the state’s 88 counties. Federal, state and local government workers earn far more than their private-sector neighbors in the majority of those counties: in 87 out of 88 counties at the federal level, 85 out of 88 for state and 57 out of 88 for local.
