Maryland Celebrates Tax Freedom Day April 19, 2010 Kail Padgitt Kail Padgitt Tax Freedom Day-the date on which Americans have earned enough to pay this year’s tax obligations at the federal, state and local levels- falls today, April 19th, for residents of Maryland, ranking it 4th highest in the nation. This is 10 days after national Tax Freedom Day (April 9). Maryland is latest of all its neighbors to celebrate Tax Freedom Day. Virginia and Pennsylvania celebrated on April 13th and Delaware enjoyed tax freedom on April 10th. West Virginia celebrated all the way back on March 30th. More on Maryland here.
