I encourage everyone to file electronically. Individuals who e-file their returns should not experience delays. Paper return filers will experience some delays. Taxpayers have until April 18 this year to file timely their individual income tax returns, three days later than typical due to the observance of Emancipation Day in Washington, D.C. on April 15.
