December 1, 2015
Today is Giving Tuesday, and if you love our blog, we hope you’ll consider making a special year-end gift to support the Tax Foundation's work in 2016.
As 2015 comes to a close, we're taking a look back at what has been our most exciting year to date! At the national level, the tax reform debate is in full swing with numerous presidential candidates outlining comprehensive reform plans for voters to consider. Our analysis of these plans has been featured in multiple debates and thousands of news stories covering the election.
On the state policy front, policymakers across the country are moving forward with reforms that improve the simplicity, neutrality, and transparency of state codes. From new reports like Louisiana Fiscal Reform: A Framework for the Future to our annual State Business Tax Climate Index, taxpayers and policymakers alike continue to rely on our research for guidance on what constitutes smart tax policy.
We’ve released more than 70 reports, books, and interactive tools to keep taxpayers informed, professionals up to date, and policymakers honest. We’ve traveled to 30+ states to present and testify on everything from budget shortfalls to fundamental tax reform. We’ve averaged more than 50 media citations per day and have consistently been featured in the nation’s largest news publications.
Any way you cut it, it’s been a bold and exciting year for us, but none of it would be possible without the dedicated support of our subscribers and donors. This Giving Tuesday, we hope you’ll consider supporting our efforts to carry this momentum into 2016.
From all of us here at the Tax Foundation, thank you!
