Donor Services Administrator

Job Description

The role of the Donor Services Administrator is vital to the Development team as well as the entire organization. The primary responsibility of this position will be to manage most of the day-to-day administration for the Development team in support of our donors. This role is the main gateway for the Development department, serving as the main point of contact for all donor requests.

Key Responsibilities

• With a great eye for detail, help prepare and send digital messages.
• Using Salesforce, manage all changes and updates as it pertains to donations and updating donor data, track and log donor interactions.
• Participate with the team conducting donor research in preparation for grant application and reporting as well as prospecting for new donors and preparing research packets for donor trips.
• Attend, and be a pillar of support for Tax Foundation’s annual gala (Tax Prom) as well as other conferences/meetings.
• Lead the coordination of state charitable solicitation registration processes, all in-house mailings, include mail merges, print production, envelope stuffing, and postage.
• Manage the annual utility subscriptions and contact lists in the email marketing database.
• Partner with accounting to manage weekly account reconciliations and annual audit needs and the proper recording of receipts and requisition requests such as department supply needs.
• Manage vendor and utility invoices, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely payment processing.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and/or operations (internships may be considered experience)
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and good judgment
• Solution-oriented with the ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
• Able to work independently on projects, from conception to completion; to work under pressure; to handle confidential matters with discretion; and to interface well with all departments of the organization and represent Tax Foundation in a highly professional manner
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with Salesforce and MailChimp
• Ability to travel up to approximately 15% of the time; virtual candidates may need to travel more frequently, including back to the office
