Tonya Barr

Tonya Barr is the Manager of State Relations at the Tax Foundation. She works to develop strategic planning for targeted state outreach, maintains a core group of tax contacts in the states, and arranges meetings and other opportunities for the Tax Foundation's research to reach its intended audience on the state level.
Previously, Tonya served as Outreach Coordinator for State Policy Network, the professional service organization for the state-based, free market think tank community. There she acted as a liaison for communications between the state-based think tanks and national allies, tracked issues of importance on the state level, and aided in the conduct and production of events and publications. Prior to SPN, Tonya worked with the Heritage Foundation's Coalition Relations office. A native of Indiana, Tonya is a graduate of DePauw University. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science. She currently resides in Washington, DC.
