68th National Conference and Annual Dinner

Location: Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, D.C.

The Tax Foundation held its 68th Annual National Conference and Annual Dinner on Thursday, November 17, 2005. The events were held in the Cannon House Office Building and the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, D.C. The 2005 Distinguished Service Awards were presented to Charles Rossotti, former IRS Commissioner; and Sidney Taurel, Chairman and CEO of Eli Lilly and Co.

2005 European International Tax Delegation

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; Paris, France; and London, England

In each of the past 15 years the Tax Foundation has led a delegation of senior congressional tax staff to meet with European tax authorities. The goal is to facilitate the sharing of knowledge about international tax policy, and to provide congressional staffers with an in-depth perspective on international tax and trade policy issues. This year's delegation met with policymakers in Prague, Czech Republic; Paris, France; and London, England from May 27-June 4, 2005.
