Governor Tim Pawlenty (R-MN) Cites Data on Federal Taxes Paid vs. Spending Received on Fox News
by Matt Moon
Yesterday evening on On the Record with Greta Van Susteren, Governor Tim Pawlenty (R-MN) cited Tax Foundation data on federal taxes paid vs. spending received in each state, discussing how Minnesota will spend the stimulus money.
For clarification: the Tax Foundation has not done the study since 2007, where the only data we have goes from 1981 to 2005. We might or might not start up the study again, but be on the lookout from our Center for State Fiscal Policy for other research on state and local taxes.
