New Podcast: Penn Pfiffner on Low-Tax Politics in Colorado

November 11, 2011

This week on the Tax Policy Podcast, I talk to Independence Institute Fiscal Policy Center Director and low-tax advocate Penn Pfiffner. We discuss the recent defeat of the Colorado tax increase proposal known as Proposition 103 and what comes next for tax and spending policy in the Centennial State.

Penn is the lead author of the extensive Independence Institute report Citizens' Budget: Roadmap for Sustainable Government in Colorado (with Mark Hillman, Linda Gorman, Barry Poulson, Ben DeGrow, and Dennis Polhill) released earlier this month. The authors take a look at potential changes in education, pensions, the corrections system and other areas that could save Colorado taxpayers $1 billion.

Keep up to date with developments from Colorado by following the Independence Institute on Twitter and Facebook. More Tax Foundation work on Colorado is here.
