Materials Available for Tax Freedom Day Events
Tax Freedom Day® is tomorrow, the 102nd day of 2011. That means Americans will work more than three months, from January 1 until tomorrow, before earning enough money to pay this year's federal, state and local tax bills. Americans will pay more in taxes in 2011 than they will spend on groceries, clothing and shelter combined.
Every year some state and local tax policy groups contact us to say they're planning Tax Freedom Day events. If you're holding an event, please feel free to photocopy and distribute the eight-page Tax Freedom Day Special Report. If your state has not yet celebrated Tax Freedom Day and you're planning an event on that day, we'd be glad to mail you some Tax Freedom Day postcards free of charge (send us an email).
In addition, Tax Freedom Day T-shirts are available on CarePress.
